Verizon and AT&T Hacked by a second Threat Actor, claims to have Harris and Trump call logs.

A second cyber threat actor, “kiberphant0m,” who has targeted U.S. telecom providers, AT&T and Verizon, alongside another China-linked campaign, Salt Typhoon. This actor claims to possess sensitive data, including call logs for Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, selling stolen databases and alleged NSA “spy schema” linked to the Snowflake breach.
Kiberphant0m emerged on Breach Forums in early 2024, showcasing technical skills and a potential association with UNC5537, another hacking group tied to the Snowflake breach. Posts by kiberphant0m have included Verizon SIM swapping services, SQL databases, and server credentials. They also appear to advocate for the “FREEWAIFU” campaign linked to arrested hacker Alexander Moucka.

Concerns stem from telecom network vulnerabilities, as major providers rely on outdated, unpatchable equipment. Despite limited extremely sensitive leaked data so far, the breaches illuminate systemic cybersecurity flaws. Senator Mark Warner warns about the need for significant hardware replacement within telecom infrastructure. National security officials recently met with telecom executives to address potential solutions for modernizing these networks.
